- Removing the Old Glass: Using professional-grade cold knives and wire cutout systems, we slice through the original urethane. We keep our tools tight against the glass to ensure we never scratch the paint on your pinch weld.
- Surface Cleaning and Prep: This step separates the pros from the hacks. We trim the old adhesive down to a thin, flat base layer of about one to two millimeters. We then thoroughly clean the entire metal channel to sweep away years of dirt, road grime, and hidden moisture.
- Applying Primer: Any exposed bare metal gets hit with a high-grade, rust-preventative primer. We also prime the black ceramic frit band on the inside of the new glass so the glue gets maximum bite.
- Installing the Adhesive and Glass: We run a tall, consistent bead of premium, fast-curing urethane adhesive around the frame. Finally, we set the new windshield into place, checking that the top and side gaps match up perfectly before taping it down to cure.
