Back Glass Replacement for the 2026-2027 Subaru Uncharted EV

- Protecting the Interior: First things first, I lay down heavy protective blankets over your cargo floor and fold down the rear seats. I spend a good amount of time vacuuming every single piece of broken glass out of the hatch tracks and the weatherstripping so nothing rattles later.
- Removal: I carefully unclip the interior trim to access the defroster and antenna connections. Once disconnected, I use specialized cut-out tools to slice through the old urethane bead and remove the remaining glass frame right down to the pinch weld.
- Surface Cleaning: The bare metal channel gets a heavy wipe down. Any dirt, grease, or loose old adhesive will ruin the new seal, so the surface has to be perfectly bare and clean before we move forward.
- Primer Application: I brush a high-quality automotive glass primer onto any exposed metal on the pinch weld. This stops rust dead in its tracks and gives the new glue a solid foundation to grip.
- Adhesive and Installation: I lay down a thick, even bead of premium, fast-curing urethane adhesive. Then, I set the new Subaru Uncharted (EV) back glass into place, reconnect the electrical tabs, reinstall the wipers and trim, and secure the glass while the urethane cures.
